  Submitting to The Zone Noir
1 We're always on the lookout for new content here at The Zone Noir. If you have something that you think is worthy of inclusion, then do read on. 1

There are two ways of submitting new content for inclusion on The Zone Noir. Either way, you need to either be the author of the work, or include the contact details of the author with your submission.

  1. For non-fic content: If the content is already online somewhere, you can use the contact form to let us know where, and why you think it's a good idea to include this content on The Zone Noir. Remember, if it's not your work, then it'd be really useful to include the contact details of the author in your message.
  2. For non-fic content: If the work you want to submit is not already online somewhere then you can e-mail it as an attachment. The e-mail address to send submissions to is contact@season2ep14.net, and it would speed things up if you were to put "The Zone Noir Submission" in the subject line.

If you're trying to submit FanFic to The Zone Noir, then there's a different method. Simply add fic to the main site as you would usually, but be sure to check the tick box labelled The Zone Noir when you enter the FanFic description. Everything will then be done automatically.

Welcome to The Noir Zone of Season2Ep14.net - This zone exists mainly because I happen to think that the Film Noir genre of the 1930-50's, as well as the slew of more modern films with Noir elements, happens to be the best thing ever. And as one of the best things ever, I'd like to see more of it in your Buffy'verse fic.

One of the very first Film Noir's that I watched was The Big Sleep (1946) starring Humphry Bogart and Lauren Bacall. To this day the fast moving plot, the Whedonesque snappy dialogue, and the undeniable chemistry of Bogart and Bacall (who married in real life soon after filming) make it one of my favourite films in the genre. Infact, one of my favourite films of all time.

It just goes to show that you don't need special effects, or even colour to make a riveting film. More contemporary films like Dick Tracy (1990), which manages to survive having Madonna cast as the femme fatale, L.A. Confidential(1997) and Sin City(2005) also rock my suitably noirish socks.
